Tuesday, July 21, 2020– 6:30 p.m.

In accordance with EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-07 issued by Governor Pritzker, this meeting will be conducted via remote participation and

Phase 4 does allow us to social distance and to have more people in a room.  However, none of the rooms at the courthouse can accommodate 50 people with social distancing.  This meeting will be in courtroom C. [Courtroom A will not be available.] These meetings will continue to be done by free conferencecall.com as well.  Please contact the chairman’s office to reserve your seat prior to the day of the meeting. County Board members and applicable department heads will have preference prior to public seating.

Highway/Building/Grounds/Environmental/ Zoning/ Welfare—none

  1. Highway business:
  2. Discuss courthouse and jail repairs and updates: Courthouse boiler, fountain project and other updates.
  3. Non-Highway Vehicle discussion and proposed ordinance-Christian County Non-highway Vehicle
  4. Any other matters that properly come before the committee and/or comments or questions from the public

 

Executive/Personnel/Liquor/Legislative—7/13/2020

  1. Continue discussion on cannabis business establishments.
  2. Request to include (within the County’s website) a membership list from boards of which the County Board approves the appointments.
  3. Personnel reviews done in executive session.
  4. Personnel issues and/or personnel/other county policies/procedures, personnel or labor updates or any other matters or referrals that properly come before the committee and/or questions from the public and/or executive session for any personnel issue.Audit/Finance/Purchasing/Budget—7/16/2020
  1. Approve claims as presented for July.
  2. Continue discussion on Probation GPS method of payment through the end of the year.
  3. Discuss audio and video options for updating the county board meeting room.
  4. Discuss payroll/accounts payable/general ledger software replacement due to current software support ending.
  5. Approve public defender salary increase effective 7/1/2020.
  6. Referrals from any other committee, any other matters that are properly brought before the Committee and/or questions from the public.
  1. NEW BUSINESS/OLD BUSINESS/OTHER:
    1. Extend the Emergency Declaration Proclamation
    2. Approve the Consolidated Economic Development Strategy document.

  1. Re-Appointments/terms: Pat Grant a 3-year term –2023 as an Owaneco Fire Protection District Trustee.
  2. Adjourn meeting until Tuesday, August 18, 2020 for the regular meeting.
